2012 Sports Tour

In July and August 2012, all eyes will be on London as it hosts the Olympic Games. Come with us as we take you through the site, talking you through the fascinating structures being put up, the radical transformation of the local area, and the strange stories of London's previous Olympics. By the end of the tour, you'll be counting down to the date of the Opening Ceremony.
"Although I'm not a sports fan, this 2012 Sports Tour was really fascinating. It was great to experience the site for myself. The stories behind the Games were brilliant – I'll be telling some of those to my friends when I get back!”
– Ben Keller, Journalist, New Zealand

Highlights include:
- The opportunity to travel right through the site, seeing some of the famous venues close up – something which bus tour groups do not get to do
- The fascinating story behind the eye-catching stadium
- The biggest portable venue ever
- The stories behind the controversial designs of Anish Kapoor and Zaha Hadid
- The quirky history of London's previous Olympics and why 2012 will (hopefully) be the year it gets it right
“That was great. It was very different from the other tours we've done – it was really nice that we were in such a small group, and that the guide was enthusiastic and could answer our questions so well. When we saw those large groups being herded off their buses, we were really pleased we'd come with you."
– Mary Haynes, teacher from London
